Transferable skills
Whilst at university, has developed presentation and time management skills. Has taken part in team projects which have involved communicating own ideas to others and applying experience in problem solving. With all the project work undertaken, has always worked to tight deadlines, turning her ideas into designs and final pieces.
Other Skills
A range of additional skills including very good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop CS2 & Microsoft Word. Competent in the use of electronic sewing and overlocking machines. Can create and cut patterns and has a knowledge of a variety of textiles techniques. From working has learned selling skills and good customer service techniques as well as basic visual merchandising, including product/colour matching departments and dressing mannequins.
Interests
Interested in historical costume, alternative arts and fashion, especially the Japanese street fashions of Harajuku, Tokyo. Enjoys customising vintage clothing and designing costumes in her spare time
